Cartwright students are interviewed by Tech Force about their experiences in program
In an effort to push STEM initiatives, Estrella Middle School students visited Alhambra High School's Medical Magnet program in February, where they learned about anatomy and the human body. At the Wigwam Resort, Estrella students Paul and Sofia were interviewed about their experiences in participating in the TechForce Challenge this past fall at the Arizona Science Center which was funded by the TechForce Foundation. National TechForce Cabinet members were in attendance and they spoke about how to grow, fund, and promote the automotive and transportation industry. Afterwards, the TechForce Foundation treated the families to dinner at Red's Grill. Also in February, all Cartwright middle schools will be attending the Grand Canyon Thunder Vision Summit, where students will be exposed to college life and receive a tour of the facilities.  Glenn L. Downs School students will also be going to Estrella Mountain Community College next week. They will tour the campus and learn about the rigors of college.
